Nice hôtel, with very poor restaurant service

Stayed for a night and paid €30 for the upgrade - not worth it. The rooms are comfortable and well appointed. Also we had dinner in the restaurant in the hotel - the food was excellent- but omg the service was dreadful- I advised the receptionist when checking out. And she was rather shocked - but to summarise- confusion throughout plus the head waiter tried to advise that the veal I ordered which turned up as steak - was veal !!!! Wrong sides, wrong wine and the wrongly charged ( but corrected when I pointed it out) left us with a feeling of a general mess. It also took over 10 mins to check in. And the hotel rooms are fine but nothing exceptional. Would I return ? No and totally due to the restaurant service

Our wonderful trip to Versailles was completed by the fantastically attentive lady called Emmanuelle who works in the very attractive bar/restaurant each morning . She spoke English beautifully and nothing was too much trouble. She was kind and thoughtful throughout our stay… always bringing fresh water for our French bulldog Napoleon. Thank you very much Emmanuelle. We will definitely be returning.

This hotel is part of the MGallery-Collection, which are mostly very good - this hotel not so much. What we liked: - very pleasant and helpfull staff at the reception - room very quiet (to a back road) What we disliked: - the outdated room with poor interior-design: nothing fits together (just the bathroom is ok) - expensive, but mediocre In-Room-Dining - breakfast (in a noisy hall behind reception, everything is self-service - ok for a budget-hotel, but not for a MGallery-property) Would we recommend a stay? No.

Aside from staying in Versailles, which is expensive, this was the perfect location. The staff was helpful and friendly, and the rooms were comfortable. The overall experience was great with plenty of places to eat right nearby. Strongly recommend to any and everyone who is visiting the Chateau.

Location is perfect because with a nice walk of 5 minutes the wonder of Versailles is just around the corner. The room is nice and elegant. The entrance in the main hall is stunning with this round and very scenographic bar. The best place to visit Versailles.
